When you visit our website, our infrastructure and analytics provider Cloudflare processes your IP address, requested pages, browser and operating system, referrer, and timestamp. This is necessary to deliver the website, maintain its security, and prevent abuse.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns. The service is cookieless and does not use device fingerprinting or persistent identifiers. It collects page views, referrer, browser and OS name, country, and page-load performance data. IP addresses are processed transiently by Cloudflare to derive country and are not stored. Because no information is stored on or read from your device, we do not request consent for this processing.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) in operating a secure, functional website.
If you email us, we process the information you provide (name, email address, message contents) to respond.
Legal basis: pre-contractual steps or performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)), or our legitimate interest in handling enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f)).
We use the following processors, both certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which provides an adequate level of protection for transfers of personal data to the United States:
Cloudflare, Inc. website infrastructure, security, and analytics
Google LLC (Google Workspace) for processing email correspondence.
We do not sell or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Some of our processors are located outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where personal data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or, where applicable, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure an adequate level of protection.
We retain email correspondence for as long as needed to handle the matter and thereafter in line with applicable accounting and limitation periods, up to 10 years where required by Finnish accounting law.
Analytics and infrastructure logs are retained according to the providers' standard periods (typically days to weeks).
Our website does not use cookies for analytics, advertising, or user tracking.
Our infrastructure provider Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies to protect the site against automated abuse.
These cookies do not identify you, are not used for tracking across sites,
and are exempt from the consent requirement under the ePrivacy Directive (Art. 5(3)) because they are necessary for the security of the service you have requested.

You have the right to access your personal data, request correction or erasure, restrict or object to processing, and request data portability.
Where we rely on legitimate interest, you have the right to object to that processing at any time (GDPR Art. 21).
